Call Of The Road ~ Call of the Road was paved to existence, in 2019. After performing separately for many years in the Midwest, each band member wanted to pursue a new venture together. With lead guitarist Grant Willey, drummer Louis Urwitz, bassist Zane Peters and veteran singer/songwriter Joe Bach, as front man, the band takes their name to heart, and performs wherever the music of the road takes them. Call of the Road plays a unique blend of Country, Rock and Blues, infused with their own style and original music.

Jacob County & The Damaged Goods ~ “I was pleasantly surprised last year when I went to see the legendary Leon Russell play at Wooly’s and got the added bonus of a local opener I’d never heard of – Jacob County and The Damaged Goods. I was also pretty jealous that I wasn’t opening for Leon, but that’s beside the point! The Damaged Goods are a rock and roll country/blues band, led by a fella named Jacob. This guy writes fantastic songs that are familiar but not derivative. The tunes are fresh and clearly come straight from Jacob’s heart and head.

When I saw the band, the thing that really made me fall in the love was the creative and spirited musicianship, technically impressive but also unique and not entirely safe. This comes through particularly in Jacob’s guitar solos, which are fun and groovy as all get out. The band’s drummer, Dirk Newton, is a true rock and roll lifer, with a lot of years under his belt and the showmanship to prove it. This is the kind of drummer that puts a little heat into his beat.

This band will make you want to buy them drinks, and they probably won’t turn them down.”
